The Randal Charitable Foundation was founded by Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL and Moni Kotecha with a clear unwavering vision, which is to save, and significantly improve, the lives of 1 million people, in the UK and around the world.

The Randal Charitable Foundation is partnering with Northamptonshire Community Foundation to award small grants to grass-roots organisations for projects based in Northamptonshire.

The aim of the fund is to support projects with grants of up to £3,000, addressing one of the following themes as part of the Randal Charitable Foundation's strategy:

  • Healthcare for the vulnerable

  • Tackling mental ill-health

  • Alleviating poverty

  • Prisoner rehabilitation

  • Education of the most disadvantaged

Grant awards must be spent within 12 months of receiving the award and funding can be used for core costs, capital costs and project delivery costs.

This fund is a rolling programme, meaning organisations can apply at any time before the end of March 2025, or until the fund has been fully allocated.

Is my group eligible?

  • Your group must be a small, locally managed charity, constituted community group, social enterprise such as a Community Interest Company (CIC), or a company limited by guarantee with charitable aims. Please note that as a general exclusion we do not fund social enterprises that have a person with significant control (PSC).

  • You must be based in Northamptonshire

  • Have an annual turnover of £50,000 or less (average of last 3 years)

  • You must have a set of written rules or constitution that your group adheres to, that contains a dissolution clause specific to Northamptonshire. We can help advise you on how to do this especially if you are a new group

  • You must have safeguarding policies in place if relevant to your work and all groups must have and equalities policy in place
