Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport (NFDS) Fund

Deadline: 01/04/2025
Location: Northamptonshire
Grant Amount: £500
Project Type: Disability in sport

The Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport Fund is designed to support the county’s sports clubs, groups and non-profit organisations. The fund will offer grants of up to £500 for sporting activities aimed at disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, and/or mental health conditions.

The fund has been set up by the Northamptonshire Federation of Disability Sport with the aim of increasing the number of disabled people involved in all aspects of sport, recreation and physical activity within Northamptonshire.

The maximum amount to be applied for is £500 and projects must start by the end of June 2025 and the funding be fully spent by the end of October 2025.

The funding can be used however you see fit, such as capital costs, staff costs, core costs etc., but it must include a clear plan that places disabled people at the heart of the project.

Funding is limited, and not all who apply will be successful; therefore, please provide as much detail as possible in your application, and you must provide an accurate breakdown of costs.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications requesting funding for new equipment or facility development may be unsuccessful if there is no clear evidence of how it will attract new players/volunteers and provide a legacy for your club/organisation.

You must have people volunteering to help with your activities who are not on your management committee. Preference will go to applicants who can show that people with disabilities make up their workforce.
