High Sheriff's Initiative Fund

The High Sheriff Initiative encourages the development of projects which bring people closer to their communities to create a more cohesive society. It seeks to help communities and people within Northamptonshire realise their potential, creating stronger and safer communities and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. The programme will make awards of up to £5000.

This year the Northamptonshire High Sheriff’s Initiative Fund's focus will be on tackling serious youth violence and your project proposal must cover one of the following themes:

Preventative: Projects working with vulnerable families and communities to reduce childhood adversity

Early intervention: Projects working with at risk or excluded children and young people

Intervention: Projects working with young people at risk of offending or re-offending in relation to violent crime

The Fund is open to new and existing projects, as well as projects which are led by young people.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation will receive expressions of interest for 2022 during June of this year. If your expression of interest is shortlisted your organisation will be asked to be involved in a project visit at the end of July and funding decisions announced at the start of August.

The Programme will open for expressions of interest on Wednesday 1 June and close at Midday on Friday 10 June. Please complete an expression of interest form, which you can access here, and email it to: alex@ncf.uk.com
