The High Sheriff's Initiative Fund
The High Sheriff's Initiative encourages the development of projects which bring people closer to their communities to create a more cohesive society. It awards grants to groups working to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, to especially support young people and help improve community safety. We especially welcome applications that focus on arts, music and sports.
This year the Northamptonshire High Sheriff’s Initiative Fund's focus will be on tackling serious youth violence and your project proposal must cover one of the following themes:
Preventative: Projects working with vulnerable families and communities to reduce childhood adversity
Early intervention: Projects working with at risk or excluded children and young people
Intervention: Projects working with young people at risk of offending or re-offending in relation to violent crime
The Fund is open to new and existing projects, as well as projects which are led by young people.
If your expression of interest is shortlisted your organisation will be asked to be involved in a project visit at the end of July and funding decisions announced at the start of August.
Groups can apply for a grant of up to £3,000 for their project.
Closing date: 5pm on Monday 24th June 2024
