African & Caribbean Elders Service Legacy Fund

Deadline: Rolling Programme
Location: Northamptonshire
Grant Amount: £3,000
Project Type: Wellbeing

African & Caribbean Elders Service (ACES) was established in 1992 to provide the preventative components of support services to its users and carers, which included good quality day care for older people, with a focus on those from the Black and Global Majority communities living in and around Northamptonshire.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation are now supporting the legacy of the charity through the establishment of this funding programme, which will focus on awarding grant funding to Black and Global Majority-led organisations supporting older people in their communities.

The Fund will consider applications for up to £3,000 from Black and Global Majority-led organisations supporting older people from Black and Global Majority communities. Some examples of the types of projects include:

  • Increased and improved access to new or existing services

  • Assistance and support for older people living in their own homes

  • Advice and advocacy support

  • Health and wellbeing e.g. staying physically active and eating well

  • Reduced isolation through participation in the arts, sports, cultural or educational opportunities

Grant awards must be spent within 12 months of receiving the award and funding can be used for core costs, capital costs and project delivery costs.

This fund is a rolling programme, meaning organisations can apply at any time and will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
