I grew up in Rothwell and now live in Kingsthorpe village. My career was in education, and I was a Principal in colleges in Somerset and Dorset. I have a strong commitment to educational opportunities and am currently a Governor of Kingsthorpe Village Primary School and of The Bedford College Group. 

I was a founding Trustee of the Dorset Community Foundation and believe that the Community Foundation has a key role in supporting local communities. It is a privilege to be a Trustee and to be part of our work in supporting local groups and charities. 

In my free time I enjoy exploring our local areas, walking, travelling, gardening, reading and going to the theatre.
