Daventry Indoor Bowls Club - £2,000 from David Laing Family Fund
The club will use their grant to purchase a wheelchair for disabled players.


Blackthorn Good Neighbours - £3,000 from Genesis Housing Fund

Blackthorn Good Neighbours is a community development organisation and charitable company that works with the community of Blackthorn. They'll use their grant to purchase a new boiler at their facility.


Brackley Rugby Club - £3,000 from David Laing Family Fund

The grant will be used to fix the disabled lift in the clubhouse.


Community Spaces Northampton - £2,968 from David Laing Family Fund

Community Spaces Northampton manages 8 community centres across Northampton. The grant will be used to pay for free to access public sessions, to support the work of our Community Organiser, in developing new activities and groups at the Briar Hill Community Centre.


Cransley Sailing Club - £3,000 from David Laing Family Fund
Cransley Sailing Club will use their grant to purchase a Hansa 303 Dinghy for their NOAHS ARC Project (Not Only Active Hardy Sailors - All Really Can).


Guilsborough Playing Field Association - £2,000 from David Laing Family Fund
The grant will be used to Replace two, 15 year old artificial surfaces for bowlers' run-ups in the cricket practice nets.

 

Daventry & District Citizens Advice Bureau - £1,074 from The Compton Fund for Arts, Culture & Heritage fund
Citizens Advice Bureau is a free support service providing help to those experiencing problems. The grant will be used to upgrade their current website.

 

Deafconnect - £3,000 from the Compton Fund for Arts, Culture & Heritage fund
Deafconnect provide services and support groups to Deaf, Deafened, Hard of hearing and Deafblind people. The grant will be used to offer the Deaf community a yearlong project of events, activities, guest speakers, day trips and workshops.

 

Desborough Town Cricket Club - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Fund
The grant will be used to help pay for a set of roil on domed cricket covers to protect the pitches from rain and to allow for proper preparation.


GranPart Northampton - £2,000 from Queen’s Institute Northampton
GranPart is a not for profit support group for grandparents who have no contact with their grandchildren. The grant will be used to expand the group by increasing numbers attending the current group and also developing new support groups across Northampton.


Inspiration FM Community Radio Station - £2,691 from Comic Relief
Inspiration FM is a Multi-cultural community Radio Station based in Northampton.  They’ll use their grant to run a 4 week community Media Volunteers Programme.


Kettering Rugby Football Club - £2,990 from Avon Female Empowerment Fund
The grant will be used to develop a Kettering Ladies Rugby Team.

Unity Leisure/Northampton Leisure Trust - £2,950.40 from Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund
The trust will use their grant to continue with their annual National Play Day event in August at Abington Park, Northampton.


Oundle Music Trust - £3,000 from the First for Wellbeing Fund
The trust will use their grant to hold Oundle’s Open Weekend during the Oundle International Festival in July. Oundle’s Open weekend will celebrate amateur music making, with concerts performed by a number of different local & voluntary music groups.

 

Rush2The DEN Youth Club - £3,000 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The club will use their grant to purchase play equipment for children with disabilities.

 

The Friend – Leys - £1,700 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund
The Friend - Leys are an over 60’s group that assist the health and well-being of older people. The grant will be used to pay for rent of venue, speakers, travel and lunches.


Twinfest Northampton – £1,448.90 from Comic Relief

Twinfest is  is a non-profit organisation that celebrates the friendship between our twin towns of Northampton, Marburg in Germany and Poitiers in France through a universal love of music.The grant will be used to put on a Music Festival which will take place on a weekend in the summer of 2017.

 

Crick Athletic Football Club - £2,500 from Yelvertoft Wind Farm Fund
The club will use their grant to purchase two new goals for the main pitch.

Delapre Dragons - £2,500 from David Laing Family Fund
The grant will be used to buy football kit and equipment to train local children and to encourage more young people to play football.

 

Heyford Athletic Football Club - £1634.46 from David Laing Family Fund
The grant will be used to improve and update the floodlighting facility at the club.


The Eloquent Fold - £3000 from the David Laing Foundation Family Fund

The grant will be used to provide a series of high quality making sessions.

 

Northamptonshire Rape Crisis - £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund
The grant will be used to continue to offer three specialist groups supporting our clients in alternative therapeutic settings.

 

Northants Youngers Club - £4000 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund
The grant will be used to pay for a youth workers wage for one year and to pay for running costs of the project and enable the young people to attend an outside sports facility 6 times a year.

 

Parkrun Northampton - £1,344 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund
The grant will be used to supply and site a defibrillator on The Racecourse in Northampton.

 

The Salvation Army (Rushden) - £5000 from the Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The grant will be used to replace existing tables and chairs at the community centre.

 

October 2016

 

Baby Basics Northampton - £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute fund Northampton
The grant will be used to enable Baby Basics to continue their work providing Moses baskets to mothers who are financially unstable.


Brookside Hall - £3,000 from David Laing Family Fund
The grant will be used for the group to continue providing specialised teaching courses for local residents of Northampton.


County Toy Library - £2,966.17 from David Laing family Fund
The grant will be used for marketing and promoting of the County Toy Library.


JuditSingers - £3,000 from David Laing family Fund

The grant will support the continued development of the choir.


Pravasi Mandal - £2,900 from David Laing Family Fund

The grant will be used to purchase a replacement boiler for the community hall.


St David’s Community Café - £2,987.25 from the Queen’s Institute fund.

The grant will be used to develop a Real Junk Food Project and operate the café as a pay as you feel cafe.

 

Bellinge Community House - £2,743 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The grant will be used to cover room hire, pay for materials and equipment to support the groups development.
